The National Association of Professional Surplus Lines Offices, Ltd. (NAPSLO) is a national trade association representing the surplus lines industry and the wholesale insurance marketing system. Since it was founded in 1975, NAPSLO has become the authoritative voice of surplus lines. Acting as a source of information, NAPSLO spends a great deal of time identifying and explaining to regulatory, other segments of the insurance industry, the media and the public the vital role surplus lines plays in the insurance industry.
Since 1926, the AAMGA has served as the trade association to international wholesale insurance professionals, and as a
leader representing the interests of its members before the federal, state and local governmental and regulatory agencies, to
elected officials and other industry trade associations in the US, Canada and Europe. Through its focus on fostering relationships,
conducting market-wide meetings and educational sessions throughout the year, the AAMGA has earned its trusted reputation by
serving as the catalyst to industry practitioners focused on the wholesale insurance marketplace.
The Risk and Insurance Management Society, Inc. (RIMS) is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to advancing the practice
of risk management. Founded in 1950, RIMS represents more than 3,500 industrial, service, nonprofit, charitable and governmental
entities. The Society serves more than 10,000 risk management professionals around the world.
As the global leader in risk management:
The National Association of Subrogation Professionals (NASP), a non-profit trade association, was established in November 1998.
The NASP mission is to enhance the stature and effectiveness of subrogation and recovery professionals through education, training
and the exchange of information.
One of the most important goals of NASP is to increase the stature of professionals working in the field of subrogation in order
to attract and retain the best and brightest talent to the field. Other goals include promoting the public good through a concerted
effort to secure safer products and workplaces, cleaner environments and quality health care. One of the highest priorities of NASP
will be to create educational opportunities for its members in order to enhance the members’ knowledge and skills in the area of
subrogation. Educational opportunities are available through the Annual Conference and through the various Regional and Chapter
events held throughout the year.
The Medicare Advocacy Recovery Coalition (MARC) was formed in September of 2008 to advocate for the improvement of the Medicare
Secondary Payer program for beneficiaries and affected companies. Formed by a group of entities in the regulated community, the
Coalition has been collaborating and developing strategic alliances with Congressional leaders and government agencies to focus
on broader Medicare Secondary Payer (MSP) reform. Presently MARC has 45 active member organizations comprised of entities representing
virtually every sector of interested stakeholder including attorneys, brokers, insureds, insurers, insurance and trade associations,
self-insureds and third-party administrators.
Global in its member composition, the Excess/Surplus Lines Claims Association is an insurance industry professional association
that provides a forum in which claim professionals can network with their peers, enhance their knowledge regarding claim issues and
trends, and freely exchange views and ideas. The Association, through its activities, strives to enhance the development and
professionalism of its membership and foster goodwill among insurance organizations worldwide.
The National Council of Self-Insurers is an organization of corporate, state association and professional members. The Council represents 3,500 employers. The initial and primary interest of the National Council of Self-Insurers is workers' compensation and particularly self-insurance of the workers' compensation liability. It speaks at the national level on issues affecting both subjects. The Council also serves as a national education forum for employers and provides information to self-insured companies and state self-insurer associations.
SIIA is truly a “one-stop-shop” for companies looking for a single association to meet all of their informational, educational, networking and legislative/regulatory representation needs. To complement its role as the “umbrella” association for the self-insurance/ART industry, SIIA operates the following membership sections to facilitate more targeted membership benefits.
