While we focus on claims adjustment and administration as our core competency, we have developed additional services that are components of any good claims handling organization. By our customer’s requests, we have unbundled several of these services and can offer them to qualified organizations.
SPECIAL INVESTIGATION UNIT
NARS has an in-house Special Investigation Unit (SIU) to work with our examiners to combat fraud. Through training, investigation, and deterrence, our objective is to enhance the ability of our experienced claims professionals to recognize the latest schemes and actively prevent fraud. Algorithms within our claims management system alert our adjusters and SIU team when suspicious activity is detected, providing an additional layer of protection for our clients.
SUBROGATION AND SALVAGE
To ensure maximum recoveries on your claims, NARS has built a dedicated unit that focuses on subrogation and salvage. Our workflows are geared towards early identification of potential recoveries which allows our experienced specialists to become involved very early in the claims cycle and results in the optimal outcomes for your program. We also offer subrogation audits of past claims to identify potential recovery opportunities.
CLAIMS AUDITING
Quality is the heart of loss cost control. We have designed a system (our Trend Analysis Program) to provide objective measures of our quality in key areas, including coverage analysis, liability investigation, documentation, customer service, adjustment expense control, loss cost control, reserving, legal handling, and subrogation. Our results are measurable. At the request of our customers, we now offer auditing services to help others evaluate their own claims handler’s work.
